Sea-Mist and Mountains: Hike Today
Today I decided to take a stroll over in Pacifica's Mori Point area. Perfect day for it -- damp, chilly, breezy (if you don't believe that, look at my hair! ) and misty.
Before I got up into the hills and cliffs I passed a woman out jogging with her dogs, who called out "I love a man in a kilt -- looks great!!". A bit further along, halfway up a hill at the beach, another woman of about 40 years was sitting on a bench by the trail talking with someone on her mobile phone. As I approached, she said to whoever was on the other end of the conversation, "Stop telling me you can't do it because you don't have any exercise clothes, there's a dashing young man in a kilt going past me right now!".
About an hour and a half later, I passed a lass on the trail who struck up a conversation, and she took the "proof of kilt" photo below. (Pics or it didn't happen, right?) Below the photo is a "public" link to the whole album from my stroll on Facebook. The kilt, BTW, is a USAK 5-yard heavyweight wool in the California State tartan.
Here's the album link for Facebook:

Looks like a beautiful hike! That scenery is fantastic. And it sounds like you had an enjoyable time.
Thanks for the photos.

Dale, I love that part of California. I have also long-admired our state's official tartan. Looking great, as always, my friend.

Dale: That "proof of kilt" lass took a great picture. You look as roughhewn and windswept as the coastal terrain behind you, ... and in your Facebook album. Thanks for sharing it with us.
As usual, everything in your outfit looks natural - like it belongs. No wonder you evoke compliments from the ladies. I particularly like your rugged, but elegant, looking belt and sporran, and how everything seems to blend with the kilt. A perfect outfit for that outing.

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
