    Cool Been a looooong time...

Well, lads & lasses, it's been a LOOOONG time since I've been on here. Over a year to be exact.

Since then, it's been a long, hard road. Not looking for a sob story or anything, but being in the military has it's ups and downs. Since I was last here, I've PCS'd twice, gotten a divorce, and lost basically all my belongings except for what I had in Korea. BUT - I've managed to get to Germany and start letting myself have a bit of a decent time again. However, comma, with all that in mind, I've pretty well lost all but two of my kilts. One is now a bit too large, and one just right, so in effect... I've only got my Utilikilt Survival model.

With the weather getting better, my pay balancing out, and my spirits getting higher, I want to start getting into my old kilted self.

Guess I just wanted to drop in, say hello again, get some advice with re-building my closet and pretty well get involved here again as much as I can.

Anywho, thanks for reading it all, hope to hear from you all soon!

Wellll'come back Troxel, from Delaware, USA (X USAF, early 70's). Life has a way of straightening out in time if you can put the past where it belongs and keep your eye on the horizon. It helps to have like minded friends and XMTS is certainly a great resource for that.
One kilt is better than none so, in the mean time, make the most of it until you have the opportunity to expand your wardrobe.

Welcome back and congratulations on surviving all that. A kilt that is too big is better than one that is too small (had to have one of mine "trimmed down" and it turned out great. May all things continue to improve for you in all ways!

Welcome back. Since your one wearable kilt at the moment is a Survival model, perhaps that's saying something. You've survived quite a bit or hardship, but things are looking up and you're back among friends. In time, the wardrobe will handle itself. Good luck to you.

Welcome! I'm a newbie but wanted to say hello. I lived in Korea when I was in high school - in Seoul, but that was a long time ago. Keep on truck'n!

    Troxel:

Welcome back! Been there, done that, bought the T-shirt. I applaud your service. I managed to do 20 years, survived and retired. Keep up the good work.

I never thought of it like that... probably a sign! I just got home from a long day of work, I think I'm gonna go ahead and slip out of the combat boots and throw the UK and flip flops on! EDIT: And have a Guinness or three!

Thanks again for all your kind words and well-wishes!

You've had a really rough ride, but sounds like your attitude will get you through anything ... all the best!
