As Dale Seago noted, if you have had occasion to wear 5.11's Tactical Pants -- which, for pants, are as comfortable as you are ever likely to find -- you can simply order the same waist size.

If you have no interest in cargo-style pants, but want to be sure to get a good fit in a TDK, try looking for a uniform store in your area that serves the public safety professions. Chances are good that they'll have 5.11 Tactical Pants in stock that you can try on to find the appropriate waist size.

    Excellent suggestion!

Last year, purchased a Khaki, which actual product looks darker than this year's Khaki.

Was going to order a Coyote hoping it was a mid-brown...but on the screen looks like last year's Khaki.

    Anyone familiar with 5:11's colours?

Last year's khaki and this year's khaki will likely be much the same - the light shade that Americans call khaki. If I recall correctly, our friends across the big pond use the term khaki to refer to a shade of light brown that's slightly darker - roughly equivalent to the shade 5.11 (and various other US tactical gear manufacturers) call coyote.

From what I can see on their web, tundra appears to be a darker brown, possibly with a hint of green.

The TDK is made from essentially the same poly/cotton fabric as the 5.11 Taclite Pants, so if you visit a shop that stocks public safety uniforms, you can likely check out the colors and fabric (as well as waist sizes) by examining Taclite pants.

I don't normally endorse "showrooming," but TDKs are only available online and there's no way to buy them from a store, so I think it's reasonable to try 5.11 pants at a store to be sure that you get a TDK in the size and color that's right for you. Besides, those who try them might find that for those situations where bifurcated garments are more practical, 5.11s are hard to beat...
