    Good to help
    Just as a precaution, make sure that there are no sharp edges cause they might damage your kilt.

    And yes they do look nice.

    If you are making yourself a day/casual sporran I would steer clear of chain for the sporran belt. I would just use a thin leather belt, say 15mm wide. Saves any wear on the kilt and alleviates the need for the D rings at the rear of the sporran.

    I am SO glad that I listened to the rabble and went with a strap. No chains for me. Only straps.
