Gotta love those wacky drummers! What pipe band is that with the MacFarlane hunting tartan?

Tad,
Thanks for posting more pictures. I sorry I didn't have a chance to meet you.
I have to tell you, your son looks really sharp in his kilt; he wears it well. I think it's great that in addition to involving your children an event like this, you are encouraging and inspiring your son, early in his life, to embrace his heritage. I started too late with my children but, I'm trying. My oldest daughters' husband wears one occasionally (but he was wearing them before me) but my son and youngest daughters' husband have been a little harder sell. I'm not really pushing them, I'm just politely encouraging them.

Nile, thanks for the kind words. I made my son's kilt and his sister a matching skirt, however she was hesitant to wear it. Though once we got to the festival she wished she would have. My son is all about the kilt and I'm having trouble reining him in with his desire to wear it. I don;t think we'll make it to the Frederick festival but will be attending the Scottish Games in Northern Virginia in September.

Pbutts, I don't know what band that was. There were 12 bands at this event. The College of Wooster Pipe Band, of Wooster, Ohio traveled the furthest to compete and there was a band from Pittsburgh, PA, the Carnegie Mellon University Pipe Band.
There were a lot of things competing for our attention so, we didn't see all of the bands perform. I'll try to find out which band that was from others who were there.

It was great seeing you guys there this weekend. I'm sorry I didn't take any pictures this time to post. However, a local website thebaynet.com did post 100 pictures from the event on their website. I'm in number 65 wearing my Isle of Skye semi-trad from USAKilts (go Rocky!).

Like wise TK and right in front of the AmeriKilt booth. Your Isle of Skye is a really nice kilt and I think the Isle of Skye is perhaps, one of the most attractive tartans; the colors just seem to capture the mystical feel of the "ideal" Isles.
I checked out the photos on Bay Net (all 100 of them) and saw you in 65 and 66 (closer but, just a part). Looks good.
