    PV listing (with pictures)

As many of us addicts know, after you get one its time to think of the next one. Right now Im not sure it itll be poly cotton, camo or PV. The Lass didnt help the addiction at all to day when she commented how nice the Freedom poly cotton looked then suggested the next ones should be khaki, black & camo. It is nice that she understands/accepts there will be more in the closet.
With that in mind - Is there a listing of PV fabric with pictures?

Two questions popped up for me:
    1) why are there two Blackwatch tartans (and different sett sizes)?
    2) why is the Royal Stewart tartan wrong (no blue or green)?

Can't help you with Q2, OB, but any tartan can be woven in different sett sizes at the customers request. As the black watch tartan is one of the most popular and not only used for kilts, I would hazard a guess that Marton Mills has it as a stock tartan for its many other consumers eg. furniture coverings, table mats etc.

    1) There are a number of Black Watch variants. Perhaps these are two of them.
    2) There are an even larger number of Stewart variants, including multiple Royal Stewarts.

To unambiguously verify any perceived differences you would have to obtain threadcounts and compare. You can, of course, do that at the SRT and by consulting the weaver. Life is too short for me.

Gotcha! Thanks, folks. I have seen a large number of Stewart tartans (too many, in my opinion) but especially Royal Stewart. It never looks right without the blue and green.

I have what was referred to/as, a Royal Stewart, but recently I found the set listed under Scot(red) (a Lowlander clan)... Philip
