Gaelic show about Cape from 70's

This is an old documentary called "Se' Ceap Breatainn Tir Mo Graidh" which roughly translates as "the land of my heart/love/" which is evocative of the Cape Breton anthem of which the refrain is "The home of our hearts, Cape Breton". The documentary was produced for Scottish televsion.

There are some famous tradition bearers and singers including Joe Neil MacNeil, Maxie MacNeil and his daughters as well as a Gaelic mass in Glendale. The quality is rough but it's well worth a look just the same. There's a little English in there but it's mostly in Gaidhlig but since so much of it is music, you may enjoy it, even if you can't understand it all.

Yeah. There are a couple of gents on YouTube that have been doing amazing work posting archival Gaelic programming from Scottish and Canadian television. One gentleman is called Uistman and the other is called Spike MacDonald. If you have a chance, do check out their channels. They have a wealth of material for those interested in getting better aquainted with Traditional Hebridean/Highland culture.
