Looks great, coming from another member of club "Holyrood". I've actually started wearing my Lovat Green hose in break up the blue.

The boots and the regimental style shirt suit each other, but it's all about the pose.
Ha! I just noticed the port and starboard flashes! Nice touch.

I'm stealing two things, one the pose, and two the flashes, simply brilliant!

Thanks, mate. They were both easy peasy!
The flashes are ridiculously simple:
1) Make your flashes by folding your material over and stitching a seam leaving some space at the top for flashes.
2) Run your garter ties THROUGH THE LOOPS.
3) Tie them off using Matt Newsome's easy-tie method.
Simple.
Thank you for the compliments.

I made three sets of flashes so far, bottle green grosgrain, red grosgrain, and red woven cotton, I saw green woven cotton, I think I need to score myself some and make a pair, then I can mix em so I have grosgrain and cotton flashes in port/starboard colors

You've got to love the Thomas Jefferson pose.
That is indeed a good pose! Holyrood is a lovely tartan and, overall, I like the look... it took me a couple of careful nit picks to come up with something constructive, which I think is a compliment.
It looks to me like a slightly wider belt would anchor things better and, seeing as you're the belt-maker, that could be another project for you
It also seems that your docs could use some love. Some people like the scuffed look for casual boots, so if you don't want to polish them, you could always use something like mink oil or dubbin to condition and also waterproof the leather. It will darken them a bit, but it's good for the leather and makes them look a bit more cared for.
