Thanks. I think it turned out well too. :-)

It has a couple of issues I want to fix in the next version. The plastic canvas I used to stiffen the panels is too hard to sew. Kept hitting plastic instead of the grid spaces. I want to replace the duck canvas gusset with leather. And the alignment between the front and back panels is a bit off. Not enough to notice unless you are closing it. I should have sewn it on with two needles, starting at the bottom and working toward the top at the same time. That might have prevented it from skewing while sewing.

I'm also thinking about separating the flap section from the back panel and snapping it on so I can swap flaps. Would have been cool to have a Star Trek emblem on the flap instead of a antique button.

I see you adopted the Rob Roy style closure and grommets after all. Seems to have turned out well. Isn't it amazing—as soon as you finish one project you see where you could improve on the next?

Thanks for the suggestion on the closure. The two buttons just weren't working out. Instead of plastic canvas I'll probably try some thick fusible interfacing. I need to finish my doublet before ren-faire. It's still waiting for epaulettes. Going to skip the sleeves.

For a Feddie, not to shabby...for a Feddie. Nice change of pace to the pajamas they usually wear.
