    Good deal on Purple Tweeds

There's a local vendor here called the British Isles Shoppe that ordered a bunch of purple tweed jackets and waistcoats for a wedding and the wedding party didn't show up. He is selling them off for a very good price. I don't like the purple with my tartan but if you are so inclined you can get a decent deal on a tweed jacket and matching waistcoat. There are no pics of the items on his website and it's while quantities last, but if you like purple, give them a call.

I don't work there so don't quote me on this but I think he would go as low as $100 Canadian for the jacket and you can negotiate the waistcoat as well.

    Good luck.

I phoned both the Ajax and Kingston stores and they had no idea what I was talking about. If these jackets are available, the staff in the stores are not aware of it.

I went into the Ajax location and she phoned the owner. The tweeds are not in either of the stores right now as he is taking them around to the various Highland Games. There are 10 sets in total in various sizes. If you'd like further information, email the store owner Robert at:

Email sent. I hope they have my size as it sounds like it would be just the thing for the Country Cthulu look.

I have no pics but it's pretty much straight up purple if I remember correctly. I have no affiliation with the company and am just passing on a deal I found out about at the Kingston Scottish Festival when I was there. If you email the owner, he'd probably be able to send you a pic. Worth a try.

I was just trying to do the Rabble and a local shop a favour but you'll have to do your own investigating from here.

    Good luck!
