A day in Frankenmuth
A couple weeks ago the wife and I were up north of Flint and I felt like seeing Frankenmuth again, it's been over 10 years. As is often the case of Saturdays, I throw on my kilt. Walking about a German themeed town wearing a kilt gets a lot of attention. I was asked by one of the employees at a store we stopped in at about it. It turned into 10 or so minute conversation.
After we made our rounds of the town with the time we had. On the walk back to the car up Main street a couple of ladies caught sight of me one my way towards them. I only heard them mention my kilt but after we past them we found they were following us, walking about my kilt. The truely golden moment though was when we turn left for the parking lot and they say, "Oh he's turning!", in a very disappointed tone.
I don't get to hear too many people gawk like that at the kilt but it's fun when they do, it's even better when your better half is there to hear it.

P.S. If I've got a lot of misspellings. I'm getting my computer setup again and the spell check is disabled.

My family and I went to Frankenmuth for the Bavarian Inn's Mother's Day buffet this year. Wore my kilt even though it was a bit windy and I thought it might be out of place. On the way out we passed by the general manager who stopped us and asked what tartan I was wearing. Had a nice chat with her about it.
Afterword, we walked around town. The only comment I remember hearing was from a family walking by. Something about how much they liked the color.
Both our experiences went pretty well I'd say.
