How about some White Tie attire?

So rabble what do you think?

Here are a few of the details. You can see the mother of pearl buttons I put on the waistcoat. My shirt studs (I am also wearing matching cufflinks). The details of the epaulets and cuffs I did for the Jacket. The watch chain that I put together. My DIY buckle brogues. The Crimea garters were made by my friend Iain Sherwood and the fantastic kilt hose were made gotten from my friend Josh Brown at Skye Highland Outfitters. I have wanted a pair of castellated hose for quite some time and Josh really came through. Not to mention Iain's garters. They are probably the most comfortable one I have ever put on.

Very, very nice. I particularly like the hose and doublet!

Very nice! I like a marcella waiscoat with the the kilt.
Maybe I would chose a darker sporran so the white tie and waiscoat look more effective.

Very well done. I particularly enjoy the two-tone lapels and gauntlet cuffs of your jacket. Is that a Britt sporran?

I made the sporran bag. The cantle is an MOD that has been silver plated.

I really like the whole thing, especially from the waist down: the buckled shoes, diced castellated hose, Culloden sporran, kilt in ancient colours.

I've got an MOD cantle off to a sporranmaker who is working on a nice deerskin bag, so I hope to soon be able to join the MOD Culloden club.

BTW here's the version of white tie attire I wore at my wedding 25 years ago (white tie and waistcoat like yours, but with an ordinary PC)

(hmmm... so many tall people there! I'm 6'4" and my wife is 5'9" and just about everybody is the same height as us!)

Very nice, Harold! I'm a fan of white bow ties with formal Highland evening wear as well as castellated hose, so your look here is very sharp to me. That's a great look.

    Thanks for sharing!

Very Nice Indeed! Wish I had a reason to get some formal attire. Maybe someday.
