That's the exactly my reason for wearing kilts. My kilts make my short legs look longer and I know that I can look smart without getting into a pair of pants.

Love it when the gals ask why I wear a kilt.... I tell them to think about it... a guy like me who is 6'6" tall and everything is porportionate, a kilt is the only garment that fits..... boy do they turn red and get all flustered.

John Allen, I could be downtown by the fountain at about noon. You should be easy to spot... I should be too. Look for the long haired, bearded, wearing black Ray Bans, hobbling along bowlegged on a cane person wandering around. Don't let appearances fool you. Inspite of shaggy savage unkept look, I am a somewhat shy, educated, well spoken sort of person. Lots of people say I look like Jesus! A Short Angry Ready To Destroy The World Jesus... Not sure if that was meant as a compliment or an insult. Soon, I might look like a Kilted Jesus if all goes to plan.

I am a Christian as well. That little Doctor tag is for a Ph.D. in Philosophy in Religion. While this is off topic, I have no religion. I do have faith, in a simple personal relationship. Religion is stuff man makes that typically trips him up. Takes guts to say that around here, most folks will think you are a loon.

Would a kilt wearing Christian be better served by being called a Kristian?

Would love to see if somebody can custom make a sporran with a Jesus fish...

There is a crisis, a quiet unknown crisis among men in the hot humid Southern USA. Something most men are to embarassed to talk about or even visit their doctor.
Perhaps for the reasons you describe, Texas has the most Utilikilts customers.

Can't see well enough to get a license. Can't walk far enough to go to many other places.

Where did you have in mind? I live very close to the old Daniel Building, which is now the BBT Tower.

Sorry to hear about the condition, I really feel for you. Some years ago I noticed a 'bit of sensitivity' in the summmer myself. Living in Texas and being a cop wearing poly-pants, shirts, kevlar vest, and in and out of a car for over 8 hours a day didn't help. I kept a LARGE supply of talc around the house for 'after-hours' cool down...down there!

Now, after work it's home to the kilt and enjoying the 'breeze between the knee's'. Too bad I couldn't do kilts then!
