The guy who wrote that article is clearly an ignoramus. Hard to get more "manly" than a Roman Legionnaire in his short red wool skirt, or a Samurai in his silk kimono, or a Highlander in the trenches in WWI in his kilt. Goes to show what happens when a person with near-total ignorance of the world around him starts misapplying Bible passages.
Idiots like this do untold damage to the cause they're trying to promote. Don't get me started! It's a soapbox issue of mine, but not germane to this forum.

I've seen this before. His write up really doesn't make any sense. However, the guy on the right in his picture needs some serious kilt counseling, I think.
It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion...

My thoughts exactly. Men shouldn't wear kilts the way he is....

Leviticus tells us that touching the skin of a dead pig makes us unclean and wearing garments made of two types of thread is bad, too - but he's not going to suggest that football players be stoned, is he?

I just looked at the rest of this guy's site . He also says women will burn in Hell for wearing pants because that's just too sexy . He has not one but two rants about beer . It has to be nothing but one big party at his house !

Women wearing pants, men wearing kilts. What next, men wearing bags on their groins, made of the skins of dead animals so they can hold their keys and cell phones?!?!?
What a world, what a world!

I think that they would stumble around and forget how to play if they were!
:zing:
Seriously, though, bifurcated garments are a relatively new invention. Any Student of historical dress will confirm this! Also...it sounds like his axe-grinding his inclined in the direction of his own proclivities. Just sayin'.

I stopped reading after 5 seconds, lol... after the line that men in Bible times didn't wear skirt, but robes with skirts... the author of that site must be smoking something pretty strong to come up with such garbage....

Maybe if you paired a nice smoking jacket or kimono with your kilt it would no longer be a sin!
As you can see in this sinless depiction of the Samurai Scot, he knows to wear a robe with his kilt...

Or as Cary Grant demonstrates in his timeless (and sinless) way in the famous "robe and kilt" scene from "Bringing Up Baby."

It is really all in the presentation.
