I think part of the problem is that the pleating is an unusual one of alternate solid black and white lines, so there is no solid green showing on the pleats. It was done this way so that the black and white was emphasized to keep the St Pirin flag. Here is a photo of the actual tartan flat, as a flat piece, showing all the colours clearly.
Thank you Paul. So yes, I see the reason for the word "hunting" being used to define this particular tartan from any other Cornish tartan, but "Hunting kilt"? Just wondering.
