I lost track of this thread and want to revitalize it. Also bcmtnbka's question stayed unanswered. Nobody knows anything about Blundstone Boots? I own a pair of black Redback Boots (examples at http://australienshop.de) witch are likewise. What do You think about this kind of boots worn with the Kilt?

It took me a few painful days (despite two pairs of socks worn one upon the other) to get my feet used to the Boots. Can't say they are comfortable today, but they will be anytime (I hope so at least).

VERY KEWL! you would need a VERY tough kilt to go with those. Ever since I got my kilt, I've wanted a pair of combat boots - excuse me - tall combat boots to go with it.

    Just got these yesterday: http://www.rothco.com/general/index....d=98&from=left
Pretty cheap (saving my Tolars for more kilts) and easily the most bada** footwear I've ever owned.

I've been considering a pair of those all black Converses as well. My daughter just got her first pair of Converse All-Stars, so I got to be the "old man" and tell her how those were THE shoe to have when I was her age. No All-Stars? Might as well stay home!

Oh yeah, would love some of these, too: http://www.albertaboot.com/police_boots.htm

Phew! :o When I first started reading that sentence, I thought you were going to say you would remedy that next summer when you became a skinhead!

Buying Doc Martens is always a better choice.

    Docs...

David, go for'em. I've been wearing a pair of the original style #1460's in greasy black since fall '02... They're definitely worn looking, but go quite well with the kilt. I do recommend a darker color of kilt hose with'em, tho. They don't go too well with off-white, unfortunately. Black goes *really* well with'em... ;-)
