Indeed; heartiest heartiest congratulations on the mile stone and thank you for ten thousand posts worth of patience, excellent advice, humour and kindness. I doubt if there is a member here who hasn't picked up something of worth from you.

Good heavens, Jock. 10,000 posts and counting! How many keyboards have you worn out already? Do you remember when you used to get titles for the number of posts? I wonder what 10,000 would have been? Keep up the good work and think how many salmon and other wild creatures have been spared while you slave away over a hot computer.

    Jock,

Congratulations are in order for achieving such a noteworthy Xmarks milestone

I'd like to make an observation about the impact of your sustained, high quality contributions to this forum and their public nature. If tradition is passing something down from one generation to the next, then in a transnational and technologically facilitated way, you have a great many kilted "descendants," myself included I don't intend to twist the meaning of tradition here, but rather to point out how modern knowledge transmission methods have helped you promote and preserve THCD in a novel way.

    Here's to many more!

    Here, Here, and well said.

More people in this world could use an "auld crabbit" uncle telling them to pull their trousers (or kilt) up and show a bit of self respect.
