I have a little trick that helps keep the pleats nice and flat preventing wrinkles. I move the seat way back before getting in. Sweep the pleats as best I can. Then before I move the seat forward to comfortable position, I slide my bum all the way to the edge of the seat so that my lower back is almost resting against the seat edge. Any creases or unnatural folds fall out as the pleats drape down toward the floor. Then I carefully slide my bum back into the seat and the pleats slide back into their natural position and are locked there so long as you remain in the seat. This trick works best on leather seats and I usually only do it for longer trips. It's a little too tedious to do every time I get into the car.
