Of course the 501st is also a bit like fight club and you all remember the first rule of fight club.

I have met and hung out with many 501st members who were cool but there is that nagging thing that you can't join until you get a uniform and they don't tell you where to get a uniform until you join, hence my comparison of them with fight club.

That's cause Google is your friend, AFS. They are also quite expensive (the Stormtrooper Armor can run from few hundred the few thousand range...like this one, http://www.originalstormtrooper.com/...er/armour.html)

They are also extremely anal about their uniforms too. A fellow Klingon is in the 501st and he said that if something is off by like an inch, they have a hissy. They are so anal that an actual screen used stormtrooper uniform from the movie WOULD NOT make it in there org. See...in the Klingon Assault Group (KAG) if you can tell it's Klingon, it works. Yet another reason Star Trek rules, star wars drools.
