I've never had a bad beer from Florida's Dunedin Brewery - they provide the beer for our Highland Games. Looking forward to a day trip down to Dunedin to tour and drink and eat at the brewery. I LOVE the previously mentioned Innis and Gunn - smooooothe and creamy deliciousness. Orkney Skullsplitter is great too. For everyday slumming around we can get Yuengling pretty cheap here - that's my go to beer when craft or imports are unavailable. I love stuff from the Ommegang brewery and anything by Bell's and North Coast's Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout is one of my favorites of that style. I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for Shiner Bock (with a chicken fried steak thank you very much) and the German place by my house has Kostritzer schwarzbier on tap. I love most anything Belgian and I'm still trying to find a bad German beer. They have to make at least one don't they? Maybe they ain't capable but I won't know for sure until I've tried them all. I better get busy. I also love Magic Hat brewery. I hope getting bought by a big brewer doesn't change them too much. A few years ago I was stricken with the Bell's Palsy and could only drink from a straw. I thank the good folks who make Negra Modelo in those short little bottles so I could get my straw in. I can't hardly eat Mexican food without it now. But the food is not a requirement...
Heck, I'll even drink a Budweiser if it's free...but don't tell my snooty friends.
