I have 2 suggestions. Braveheart and GOLF PANTS.
Make her sit down and watch Braveheart. Put it on a loop and play it throughout the evening. Show her how "masculine" a man in a kilt truly is!
2nd... if you don't golf, take it up. If you do, start wearing the "traditional golf pants"... Those baggy silly looking tartan pants. If she can get used to you in them, then she HAS to get used to you in a kilt. She may even see the kilt as an IMPROVEMENT to those pants.
Bottom line... it's HER mental / emotional issue.
If you want to "fire back" you can (depending on how good of an acting job you can pull off) break into tears and tell her that she's not supporting you and that you THOUGHT she loved you and would support you in your endeavors. hahhahaha
