Since 1967 here. Even that is a bit late since Schroedinger proposed it in 1935 as a reductio ad absurdum "refutation" of the Copenhagen interpretation of quantum theory; somehting a lot of people seem to overlook. If a so-called "wave function" is a "probabilstic wave" (statistical range) and a "wave colapse" is simply the detemination of the probability of a specific event from within that range by observation, then the whole thing becomes an example of the fallacies of hypostization and division. (cf: "Quantum Bayesianism"). I know, more than you wanted to know, but.....
