No experience with either vendor.
The concept has an eerily weird appeal. Owning several solid colour cargo kilts, they are tragically tres' useful and utilitarian. In all likelihood, one of those travesties of a tartan cargo-hybrid will end up in this collection.
Fully expecting a whomping from the kilt kops. Truthful-hopeful defense is:
* The kilt is ENORMOUSLY alive and well with likely more sales and owners than ever before in history.
* The kilt is an evolving garment currently made in cuts, fabrics and styles the "traditional" (Scottish Highland last 2 centuries) world has never known.
* The "kilted look" is an evolving series of "fashions" rooted in the traditional but also acknowledging the kilt's informal nature as a daily and workman's garment.
* "The "utility" kilt is a practical and useful garment certainly "equal in use" to chinos and jeans
* The "utility" kilt is currently being made in solids, camouflage, leather, combinations of fabric...
...why not tartan?
Let the beatings begin.
