    Way, Way Off Topic Redux

I’m about to burst! I won the silent auction on this 1975 Triumph Spitfire at the local Salvation Army, today. Won the bid at $1K above the $2.5K start. Have to wait till Monday to pick it up.

Back in the day I had a 1976 Triumph TR 6 and have been checking the East Coast for sales recently for one. This Spitfire came up in my own backyard on Facebook and was a deal not to pass up. Great condition with low mileage.

Kilts and classic British sports car just seem to go together!

Congrats Mael, another great classic car. I will suspect something is going on if another member of staff comes up with another classic next week. Enjoy Mael and cheers to the acquistion

I had a triumph GT as a young man and found out why the Brittish don't make VCRs..... They haven't figured out how to make them leak oil yet they do look GREAT don't they.

Driving home this evening in my Jag I pulled up next to a very nice Spitfire of about the same vintage. I'm sure the Spitfire driver thought I was insane. I was looking over at his car and laughing.

Just one of those times when an image passes through your mind that catches you as funny.

All I could think was that I didn't really need a spare tire in my trunk. I could probably fit the Spitfire in there and use it as a spare if I got a flat.

The Spitfire Driver would have been right, Steve!

The Spitfires are indeed small. In getting out I can literally place my hand out on the ground.
