Why thank you! They were saying at the camp last weekend that out of every 1000 students who start at an International San Ten Karate Association school, only 30 go on to get their first black belt, and of every 100 black belts, only like 10 go on to teach. Guess what I aspire to do...?

I don't know anything about what all it takes to achieve this accomplishment, but from the responses you've received from the black-belt cognoscenti here, it looks like a major milestone. Congratulations, Travis.

It took 6 years of hard training, hard practicing, and then an 8 hour long test... Most of which I don't remember... The contact hours are the same as getting your masters degree in most colleges, and with Justin Sensei, that also includes taking written tests and doing research papers.
