I don't know, I kind of like the kilted Godfather look. However, I don't believe that is the Corleone tartan. Congratulations on your anniversary.

Thanks MNlad! No, no Corleone in my background, or any Italian. Not that that would be a bad thing, just isn't. And that's the plaid my grandmother wore, Ancient Campbell. She always had a shawl in that tartan, God rest her soul. She was a great woman, and VERY savvy!

Here's my one year anniversary present to myself - a new PC and vest from USA Kilts. Ordered Saturday, delivered today. Sorry, long day, just got home, and this is as far as I got. Obviously I need some additional "stuff" but this is a start. Thinking I'll be ready by next year's Robert Burns Supper.
Plus my loyal dog is requesting my attention...

Frank: Very nice. Looks a lot like mine. You'll have to post some pics from the Burns dinner. John
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Be careful about posting photos like that, Frank you might start a new trend in Highland Dress!
I can imagine somebody saying "hey I saw online photos of a guy wearing a Prince Charlie with a t-shirt and bare legs... it's awesome... I think that's what I'll do for my upcoming wedding!"
But seriously congrats on the PC... there's nothing quite like "dressing to the nines" at a nice Evening function.

Very sharp! I really like the tartan on the right, not familiar to me.

Thanks John! Gonna have a local tailor take that waistcoat out a bit. My 50R tweed waistcoat fits like I don't have it on. This one fits like I do have it on! Apparently as long as I can get the PC jacket on, it's the right size!

Good one Richard, I can always count on a good laugh from you fine XMarkers. That's funny, and no doubt true. Oh, the horror of it all!
I figure the stuff I need to go formal at a reasonable cost to be around 250. That's a tux shirt, studs, tie, belt, buckle, sporran, and balmoral. I have my eye on a balmoral somewhat different from what you generally see, but I like it.

Kilted tonight, very informally, for the local St. Andrews Society annual BBQ, followed by the quarterly meeting. Supposed to be 80+F, muggy, with potential thunderstorms, wind, rain, etc. So run home, kilt up, head to Albany (the big city around here).
Enjoy yer day!

Is it my camera, or is there a round patch on the left lapel of that PC jacket? I never noticed it till I looked at the pic this morning. I'm at work - the jacket is at home! Anybody have any idea?

Thank you. It's the Douglas WCWM - a Name (or Fashion) tartan. See post #13. My brother and I gave him a rash for selecting it. But, he liked it. You know how young people are - no sense of tradition. Actually, it was a good choice. It looks good on him.
