    New Kilt

I stopped at one of the local kilt stores today to check out socks in anticipation of the arrival of my MacGregor kilt. I left with not only socks, but a new kilt and a kilt pin.

Must be nice being able to walk into a store and and just buy a kilt off the rack! But that's not important, what tartan did you get!!!! We crave information!

Some people, Honestly. They just go wondering into their local "Kilt" shop and pick up a new kilt.No thought for the poor unfortunate people like us, that are sitting at home drooling over our monitors dreaming of the day that they too can wander into such a shop....You lucky ....lucky man Then what do they do they come home and brag about it to us. You're a cruel and heartless man Casey

No ...Only joking what about some details. What Tartan maybe a picture when it comes.
Please help us less fortunate souls here on "xmarks"

All the best with the new kilt....David

    Information:

    Tartan: Black Watch
    Style: Traditional
    Yardage: 6yd
Material: Synthetic. Has the texture and feel of 13oz. wool. Hangs great and does not wrinkle. Washable.
Socks: Grey Lochcarron (Didn't forget them. Good idea though, David. You devil, you.)
    Kilt Pin: Macgregor Badge

Wore it all day yesterday and now I'm hooked on traditional styled kilts.

I was under the impression that this store only rented kilts, but they sell too. I now wish that I had known this before I ordered my MacGregor as their prices are much more reasonable.

    NICE GRAB!!!!!

You're right about the rental shops. There are a LOAD of Tux Rental, Wedding/Bridal Shops and FormalWear Shops that have the things. It's worth getting out the Yellow Pages or getting onto the internet Yellow Pages to find one near you. Since the majority of the kitls aren't rented all that often, the shop managers are usually VERY eager to sell them.

Well done Casey, I wore a Black Watch tonight (I hope they don't get dismantled - as it the current move to do so). I love that tartan, I love it - it's a thing of beauty.

What a nice buy, well done.!
