Probably the best HG throwing guide, ever

Mike Pockoski and Mindy Pockoski have a new book and DVD out.

    http://hgcontrarianapproach.com/

Do you want to throw better? ... learn HOW to throw right, even if you're not a strength *Beast*? .... want to develop confidence to find your own path while staying true to the basic principles?

    BUY THAT BOOK AND VIDEO.

Period. End of statement. I get *nothing* out of this, though Mike has kindly told me that some of our conversations and e-mail threads got him thinking about doing it. Nonetheless, I get not one thin dime out of pumping this.

There are other video's out there.

Ryan Vierra's set./..the throwing DVD and the weight training DVD, both excellent (I have them both)

Ryan Stewarts video's, done with Todd and Lyman Asay, excellent throwers in their own right.... MNnichols has these and says they are very good. I haven't seen them, myself.

And Matt Vincents training lab and throwing lab books...

    http://www.mattvincent.net/

I have Matt's training Lab book and I will honestly say that while I learned some stuff from reading the book (the concept of training in "blocks"...a strength block, a speed block", Matt's way of throwing and training just isn't my way. No can do it the way Matt does. That doesn't mean that Matt is WRONG! For hevvin's sake he's the 2012 freaking world champion, and probably the bests weight thrower in the Games, today. It's just that Matt's path is really different from my path.

All good... every one of them. Where Mike and Mindy shine, and why I count them as my throwing mentors, is that they focus on throwing technique, how to throw RIGHT, and also how you need to develop self confidence to analyze your own throws and try WHAT WORKS FOR YOU.

If you're just starting out, or thinking about starting out and you want a good, sound look at what it takes to throw well, GET MIKE AND MINDY'S BOOK AND DVD. It's totally and utterly worth the $60.
