    You're there in the Land of Oz, where they have a very practical sort of hat which looks great with the kilt. I myself wouldn't hesitate a moment to wear it!





    I have this hat, the kind with the mesh sides, which is extremely practical, keeping off the sun but allowing air to circulate

    When my Father worked on a farm he didn't wear any headgear, come rain or shine, winter or summer. Mind you, he always wore his nicky-tams.
    My Granddad, (he was a shepherd) always wore a fore and aft tweed hat, also called a deerstalker, all the time. For all I know he may have worn it in bed, I can't think of a time when I didn't see him wearing it, even in the house.

    The late Colin Gordon, proud Scot and terrific Scottish-style fiddler, invariably wore a deerstalker with the kilt.

    I've always worn a baseball style cap at the games. My brother prefers a Tilley. At almost all other occasions I wear the Balmoral.
