The last week or so my tipples have been:
Dalmore 21 (very nice on a warm evening on our screened porch)---very very nice for the price
Jamesons (at a Natalie Merchant concert)-- a standard available almost anywhere (kind of like MacDonalds----not great, but good enough, consistently predictable quality and very readily readily available)
Macallan Fine Oak 10 (sitting on the front porch watching the kids play in our cul de sac)--surprisingly nice for a young buck
Aberlour 16 (tonite before supper but after a pretty frustrating day at work)--Love this one
I have a few Islays, but they are not my first grab generally when I reach into the cabinet. Do like the sherry finished speysides. REALLY like the finished casked "private" collection from Glenmorangie---ALL of them, those that I have tried so far. Still need to have my cousin pick up a couple bottles of Ealanta from the Virginia ABC to complete that collection. A couple months ago picked up two Bruichlaiddich non-peated islays that I am warming up to.
