I've visited MacGregor and MacDuff in Glasgow a couple times.
I loved that place! Full of what appeared to be traditional high-quality Highland Dress.
They had a gorgeous windowpane tweed Argyll jacket & waistcoat which I would have loved to get (lovat green with a claret windowpane overcheck) but it was pricey, as I recall it would have come out to around $800 US. (I just went on their site and don't see any jackets that expensive, the most expensive being 400 pounds. The jacket I saw might have been Harris Tweed or some other very expensive tweed.)
About kilt prices, I just bought a new kilt, House of Edgar, regimental MOD weight tartan, 8 yards, handstitched, a beautiful thing, and it cost around $650.
