    Tartan curtains?

Just curious if anyone here has hung any tartan curtains, and if so, if they've any pictures of them. I'm considering doing this for one of my bedrooms, which is furnished with primarily 1860's - 1890's furniture, so all big, heavy, and dark woods.

I've been toying with the idea and so would love to hear from anyone else who may have done this. I actually first started to really consider the idea when I saw some in Edinburgh Castle when I was there just about a month ago. I may have taken pictures of them and so will check when I get home. As I recall, they were Black Watch.

Thanks for any input and suggestions!

    Regards,
    -Derek

There's a member of my clan society in Los Angeles who had tartan curtains in her house at the time I stayed there in 2009. She bought the fabric from JoAnns and it is a lightweight cotton which would be too thin and too light for a kilt. She gave me a spare offcut which I brought back to Scotland for use as a tablecover when presenting a clan tent at events.

Thanks for the input! I Googled it before I posted and wasn't really satisfied with what I was seeing, thus decided to head to the best place I knew.

Dadgum..... You might could wear those! Says 100% wool and 55 inches wide. Sounds like a belted plaid to me! I wonder what weight they are, probably heavy to be curtains. Hummm.
    Somebody ought to.

I have curtains in Campbell Ancient in my dining room and living room and they look great! I'll try to dig up a pic or two when I can sift through all the photo files on the computer.

I used P/V from Marton Mills, the same fabric we use for kiltmaking. It has worked out great and after a little more than a year in the window it hasn't faded a bit.
