Their kilted-pride shows in the video. And runs deeper than just wearing a kilt.
I don't mean to get too political here but as a retired USAF and Veterans Administration chaplain, I am moved by the units losses and injuries. Three killed and six injured by an IED is a tragedy of grief for unit, family, nations (Scotland and the rest of us and US).
Any Highland parade is impressive to me.
Double that for an active Scottish Regiment in traditional kilted uniform.
Double it again for a homecoming return from a combat zone.
Quadruple it again for a proud unit with sustained losses.
GREAT POST, WillowEst
Hope we get a few more comments. Not sure why this got lost for a week.

I just saw there were already seven "Aye's" on this post in the last 10 days.
I suspect it is a piece that makes us all think about kilts (and much more).

I think so. I chose a more academic life but I think we all owe our gratitude to those who did chose to protect and defend all of us at great personal risk to themselves.
Ladies and gentlemen of whatever nation and service, I salute you all.

It may in part be because there are quite a few of us who have or are serving and something like this has a certain fraternal effect on us.
