Thanks for what you have contributed in the time since I joined XMTS (and before), Ern. I hope you enjoy your return to the ranks

Welcome home, Ern. I'll think of you next week while I'm baking you-know-what.

Ern,
Thank you for your dedication and service to our little internet village. It takes a big man to step down from a leadership role of any sort when he feels that it is in the interest of the greater good. Good on ya, mate!

We will miss Ern for all the qualities he brought to the mod squad, as already described and also for his keeping things neat and tidy. Several times when I began to notice things were needing looking to I would arrive and find it was already done. His retirement is well earned.

I echo the sentiments of Steve and my fellow moderators. We've all appreciated everything that Ern has put into helping this forum run smoothly, and his service shan't be forgotten. I still hope that I'll have the privilege to meet him in person some day, and have a nice, long chat over some wee drams, and not so wee pints. :-) In the mean time, and until then, this evening I shall raise a glass to my friend.

Thank you, Ern, for being a wise and just moderator, and a true friend to all; you have performed a difficult balancing act so very well.

Welcome back to the general rabble, Ern- and thank you very much for all your work as Mod.
XMarks is still one of the most polite places on the internet, which is something we should all be
proud of and thankful for. No doubt this is greatly due to the tireless work of the Mods, past and present.

As a moderator on another forum, I do understand all the ins and outs of the job. Usually a thankless job, but you Ern have excelled, and I want to thank you tremendously. Well done sir.
