Turns out the ONLY thing in my entire bachelor cave that is pink is a bottle of Pepto Bismol left over from some germ war.So here I am going from kilt to kilt holding up a bottle of Pepto Bismol beside them checking on the color coordination. If that won't get me a free ticket to the Funny Farm I don't know what will! Results of the survey was the pink kilt hose are gonna pretty much not go with any of the tartans I own - they'll sort of stand on their own - hopefully sort of neutral as in the pics Matt posted. BUT....they do seem to kinda, sorta, maybe go with Weathered Gordon, Scott Green Weathered, Royal Air Force, and Texas Bluebonnet. We'll see for sure when they arrive...So I'm still ruminating.....
I'll skip all the "other alternatives" and just say that not all decisions are salvageable...LOL...and finish with this...DONATE THEM..LOL...Some times I think that it's best just to take your lumps and walk away.....LOL....

Perhaps with a purplish tartan like Spirit of Scotland or the Warrior tartan.

Ah, geez . . . I had a feeling this would happen. I ran across an old bottle of pepto bismol from my own stroll through chemotherapy. Does this mean I need to find a new pair of sox, or can I just send the bottle to you, Ron?

Nope. The kilt hose arrived today and they're a lot more reddish pink than the Pepto Bismol....now I have the real thing to compare to my various tartan kilts.

Ron,
Do you recall the Duke of Argyll's fondness for pink/salmon/whatever hose with his ancient Campbell? Do a Google image search for the Duke, and about half the photos show pink hose---without another stitch of pink in sight. It just seems to work! With a pink T-shirt, it would be a sure winner.
Then try anything involving purple, that should work also. I'd love to see a photo & hear which hose/color they are. POIDH!

Ron, I thought I saw a photograph of you a while ago wearing the MacPherson hunting tartan. I think that pink hose would go really well with that tartan. I have a pair of purple hose that work well with it. And obviously as others have mentioned, Campbell and black watch. Maybe you could post a few pics to see what tartans they compliment.
Cheers
Nick

Duke, the bad news is you must get a pair of pink kilt hose. The good news is, you can call them salmon. ith:
