I agree they would almost certainly look good with your MacPherson. I have pink long socks from Sock Dreams, and have worn them with Fraser Hunting and Clergy tartans, to positive (and surprised) reactions. Too much folding issues with their length, so have ordered
one of Matt's remaining pairs. Like the first time you went out the door in a kilt, just wearing them a few times will calm any misgivings.

Oh, the surprised part of the reactions has been other people's surprise at how well they liked the look. ".....Michael,....Pink socks? But
.....ya know, that actually looks pretty good. Who'da thunk?" I guess if you have what it takes to be comfortable in a kilt in everyday
wear in the States, you have what it takes to wear pink.

After staring at the "pink" kilt hose for a couple days now they seem more "light brick"...but the pink is there too. Don't follow the Campbell tartans stuff...my grandfather Murdoch would rise from the grave and haunt me. He never even bought Campbell's soup and had a fit when I took a job with Campbell Ford.

Do plan to lay out my tartans and put the pink hose on them to see. Think the McPherson Hunting will be a go too. Good eye.

Oops, I forgot about grandfather Murdoch. :-0 I wasn't suggesting Campbell, just sayin' similar colors could work, say Colquhoun ancient...

How about the weathered Gordon or Scott, if they're still on active duty? Isle of Skye? Warrior?

If all else fails, call up Steve and get a FK in Pink Death camo.

Isn't there a pinkish hue in your Arizona tartan kilt? How would they go?

No pink in the Arizona tartan. Only some red stripes. Hope to get some photos this weekend to show how they look with various tartans.
