    Magnets and Patches

I've wondered about the magnets, too. Why aren't these used more? Especially good strong ones. I like the idea of recycling them from hard drives. I'm a bit surprised there aren't more vendors offering magnet-backed pins.

In looking for a kilt to wear for events at the University of Delaware (my alma mater) I found some difficulty with getting their "official" tartan. I ended up getting a USA Kilts casual in Oakleigh, a good match for our blue and gold. (Thanks, Rocky!)

I have another USA Kilt casual that has their logo patch, and have seen some others with patches in kilt-pin position. So added another part of my college experience, with my fraternity's (Alpha Phi Omega) coat of arms. It helps that my fraternity's colors are blue and gold, as well, and the patch looks like it was made for the kilt.

    So, here's my "college" kilt:

Magnets stuck to kiltpins love domestic appliances. It's a worry when you're kilt-checked by your fridge.

This kilt pin magnet trick sounds interesting. I may have to give a try.

Beautiful college kilt crsbryan, I think magnet pins are a terrific idea, it could be a hot item, even for shirts, pins can mess up kilts, anything material.. magnet pins can be done very classy, antique looking etc..
