You did nothing wrong, sir.
You look great! Congrats on your first outing. May there be many more in 2014.

And this is why I love this place - the info and encouragement here is invaluable!
Yes, Steve, I did notice but I can fix it - I made those straps and thought I had calculated correctly but as soon as a put them on with the kilt I realized where I erred (measuring before I actually had the kilt so the numbers were off from where I find I'll be wearing it) and then not double checking after I received the kilt. Luckily, I made them too long so it will be no trouble to shorten them up.
Thank you all again - I'll have the straps and a few other things sorted out in time for our Central Florida Highland games in a couple weeks and THEN there will be some smiling pictures! :-) (I was grinning like a goofball in the restaurant but nobody thought to take my pic then)

Well done, mate! I didn't get to wear mine last night (still had fun, though).
Very nice sporran, too.

Well done, Lee! You're too hard on yourself. Stepping out for the first time is intimidating (and many of us have had that experience) but, you did it and you did it well so, you need not make any apologies. It's a new year and a new experience; there's no turning back now!

Simon Fraser fought as MacShimidh, a Highland chief… wrapped and belted in a plaid over the top of his linen shirt, like his ordinary kinsmen. He put a bonnet on his head, and stuck the Fraser emblem, a sprig of yew, in it. With the battle cry, A'Chaisteal Dhunaidh and the scream of the pipes, they charged to battle. I think you look absolutely grand. Congratulations! And, I think I do see a definite smile beginning to form in that first picture. That Buchanan tartan is so colorful and nice looking, ... but so far I only have one on a flannel shirt from LL Bean. Maybe one day. ![Smile](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
Are you going to watch THE GAME on Monday night?
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Looks darned well fine to me. You're awfully hard on yourself!

Nothing wrong with that look Lee. Smart but casual. Works well.

Oh most assuredly - from kick-off to 00:00 - probably pre-game too - how much of the post-game I watch depends entirely on the score at 00:00. I imagine I'll be on the phone with my grandpa during it too so we can cheer (or boo, lol) together.
