Get in touch with An Comunn Gaidhealach Ameireaganach , The American Scottish Gaelic Society. at this link: http://www.acgamerica.org/
They have links to local classes in various areas. In the past they've had resources for sale, e.g., dictionaries, grammars, audio lessons, etc. I don't see the list up at this time but you might ask to see if they have what you might need.
John - that's a great resource. $35/year and people are teaching via Skype? That's a steal.
Blueline - Rosetta Stone offers Irish as a module. I've been told repeatedly to learn Irish and just transition to Scot. I've been told. Just getting my feet wet too.
If you serious, there is only one course: An Cursa Intrigidh, which is a distance learning course From Sabhal Mòr Ostaig. That is the Gàidhlig-medium college on the Isle of Skye, part of the University of the Highlands and Islands Highest recommendation - Robbie
