    I'm in the queue :)

Having eyed Matt's excellent box pleated kilts from afar for long enough, I've decided it was time for one of my own. I'm now in the queue for a 5yd box pleated kilt, in Lochcarron's 16oz weathered Buchanan Old Sett.

Ken: Great news! Congratulations on your choice. Can't wait to see it. Good luck with the Jonesing.

Definitely worth the wait, but it can be a long-term jones!

Yeah, I'm prepared for a long wait (Matt currently estimates 6 months), and don't mind that. I have several recently acquired 8yd tanks I got last summer and fall, that are still feeding my "kilt gratification" high.

I've got several of the asymmetrical Buchanans in various color palettes, but lacked a Buchanan in the older, symmetrical pattern that I'm told pre-dates an artist's "mistake" that then became popular as the asymmetric pattern.

Coupling that "original"(?) tartan with the old-school box-pleat style, and doing it in the "weathered" palette, seemed like a natural thing to do.

This is in no way a criticism of having to wait for one of Matts kilts, but I am currently at 40 weeks, so it maybe a bit longer than 6 months Ken.
They are well worth the wait though. Cheers

I'm ok with a wait, knowing what the end result will be. It gives me time to decide what I might want to order from Barb... or Rocky... or Steve... LOL

I prefer the Old Weathered to the Old Ancient myself. Good choice.
