    Fibonacci Tartan

I did a quick search on the site but didn't find it mentioned. Did you know that a tartan was created using the Fibonacci sequence. You know the 1 1 2 3 5 8, where the next number is the sum of the two before it. Check out the video.

That was a great looking tartan - I'd wear it. I liked the song too. (But i'm a sucker for bagpipes so that may not be saying much).

Speaking as a geek of Scottish descent, that was cool.

And if your look at the ratio of sequential elements of the Fibonacci sequence asymptotically what you then have is The Golden Mean which was used in the creation of The Da Vinci Code Tartan.

That is a nice tartan as well. I'd wear both.

Aye, they still tell Ceilidh tales of the great Fib O'nacci who dared, by the numbers, to defy King Haggis the Prime!

But alas his numbers were divided, then subtracted in numbers. While King Haggis' multiplied.
