    Anyone have experience with Tartantime.co.uk??

I'm helping the wife of a friend of mine finding a vendor for a kilt in the Leslie ancient red tartan for her husband. I have found that the website www.tartantime.co.uk offer this kilt for a very good price. The tartan is from House of Edgar, so the fabric is ok. But I don't know much about Tartan Time. Have any of my friends here on the forum any experience with this vendor?

If the fabric is stock and commercially available, I'd think that most any kilt maker would be willing to make him a custom kilt in that tartan.

The Leslie Red Tartan is carried by most of the weaving Companies as a stock fabric. This means that they weave it on a regular basis and usually have some on the shelf.

Most of the companies also sell retail.

In addition to HOE the Leslie Red is also carried by Lochcarron in Modern, Ancient and Weathered versions.

I do know that Lochcarron sells fabric retail. All it would take is a phone call.

You might as well buy direct from the weaver. HOE, Lochcarron, take your pick.
