I can't help thinking about the "mullet" hairstyle- business in the front, party in the back. This jacket seems to have a front like a PC and a back like a Crail/ Argyll.

I am curious as to whether anyone has encountered one like it before.

Well, just goes to show I'm a bit of an odd duck. I have seen that item for sale on ebay before, and I kinda like it; I guess because it is a bit of a departure from the general run-o'-the-mill PC coatee; although I must admit that the cuff thingy (a think that's a technical term) is a little peculiar.

A while back there was a video posted here of the Band, Pipes and Drums and Dancers of the RHR on the lawn of the White House in 1963. IF you check out the tunic worn by the Dancers at about the 10 minute mark, the back of their tunics looks remarkably like this; although it is a standard military front with stand-up collar. Their's does have a slit in the back but otherwise the back is identical to this, IMHO.
