And another flat cap, nothing special but a nice light weight for summer.

Great finds! I really need to get over to my thrift stores soon, I've lived here close to a year without crossing the doorstep of a single one.

I think you have better thrift/charity shops up there than we do down here!

I've spent many an hour scouring through such here, I used to have a regular circuit (there being five on one street!), but I've never come across any hats like that.

I've never thought about hats before.... Everything else, yes. But the hats, never.
I will have to remedy that...

    Great finds!

Richard, I think it's just the luck of the draw. We have found (over several years) two very nice outback wax wear hats and I have a nice fashion tweed cap. I have seen several tweed/wool bucket hats but the sizes were wrong.

The Tilley and the bucket hat are sweet finds. Good for you. I love my Tilley in summer and I've been thinking about switching from my flat cap with fold-down earflaps to a bucket in winter. I'd have been a happy guy, wandering into that store.

Last week I found an Orvis tweed sport coat for $8 at the Goodwill store. It is still the Orvis catalog for $365.

    I was very happy.
