Good looking ensemble on this piper in New Orleans this weekend
I always enjoy seeing and hearing a good piper, and this was no exception. Photo taken at the Irish House on St. Charles Ave. in New Orleans this weekend.

Excellent color harmony with the saffron kilt. I like it!

The Saffron Kilt has been adopted by Irish Military Pipe bands according to my casual reading. The Irish House may have bought the kilt.
I have already bought my mustard hose to go with the one I plan to buy from Stillwater Kilts.

One of my utility kilts is a medium-dark brown (my second favorite after my Hunting Stewart utility kilt). Pairs well of course with other autumn-earth-tone, Lovat and other tweed pieces. Great for weekend/country wear. As much as we all love tartans, solid color kilts perhaps allow for more of a "Hey look, I'm wearing a kilt..." effect, rather than "HEY LOOK, I'M WEARING A KILT!", not that we wear them solely or intentionally to attract attention of course.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one; was in the process of asking if we should do a fundraiser to buy him a pair of
knees when the above showed up.
