USA Kilts is a great choice.

The Lord is often willing. Fire Chiefs sometimes require more persuading (or at least, mine does).

Look at the avatar to see what that might look like with the belt underneath. My suggestion for many fit issues.

Morning ( or evening depends on your time zone ) as a brother firefighter I am totally envious of the kilted honour guard , here we can't even get one started , if you keep the spats and horse hair sporran look with long sleeve shirt and tie and add a step out tunic which has been cut to work with a kilt you will keep the official look but without over the top cost . Good luck . I usually attach a pair of cross axes to the collar of my doublet and use a buckle with cross axes on to substitute for my pipers waist belt when I play at a FD function ( which is rare) and I put my fd cap badge on my glen and skip the bonnet ( just my 2 SA rand worth which is not much ) cheers !

This is a couple of months old now, but you can catch the general feel...and yes, we are outfitting the piper too!. The doublets are next.

I'm glad to see this post come back around. We have done several functions with fantastic reviews!

Not a fan of the gauntlets. Quite distracting for an Honor Guard. I like the cockades in the glens, they look good with the kilts.

Just a note and correct me if I'm wrong, but only the American flag has the eagle atop. Every other I've seen has the point or pike.

You are absolute correct. This was one of those times when the "upper echelon" wanted their flags used for the ceremony. Our true parade flags are properly sized and adorned. We went round and round... I saluted... and used their flags. Still employed....

This is the latest..... It really is a labor of love. Slowly but surely getting things in proper order.
