Bill,
I am a middle of the knee kind of guy, just because it just seems right, it swings right, it flares right, it is just plain right. But you are you and that final decision rests on how you feel
Mike,
You are such the diplomat.
I never thought that a kilt could become a Granny dress, but now that you said it, I tend to see what you are talking about.

I wear mine at the just between the middle of the knee and the top of the knee and it looks and feels right.

How would we know? You never post a picture of yourself.
Nudge, nudge, wink, wink.
I think the biggest eye opener for me were the pictures from the Dressed to Kilt fashion show. Since the kilts were worn at about every conceivable length, I got to see what looked correct to me, and order mine accordingly. After all, it is a personal taste issue.

Bear... we might start thinking that you're keeping us waiting on purpose.
PS: How's the new store coming along?

Funny thing is, what few photos I do have of me in my kilts are of this nature!

The store will open on the 1st of October. All the necessities are there; fabric, sewing machines, etc. (Thanks to Raphael for helping me get all that stuff down to the store!) Just have to put up a couple of display units and it's ready to go.
I've started making kilts there and I can tell it's going to be quicker. As small as that place is, it's better than my dining room. Everything is organised, for one thing. I have a much larger table for folding, which helps more than you can believe!
I will be completely caught up this year. I'm shooting for November but saying Christmas to make sure I can back it up.
I intentionally will not have a computer or television at the store. No kids to play with, either. It's going to be kilts, all kilts, and nothing but kilts until I get completely caught up.
(Except for opening day, when Colin and Raphael plan to drag me kicking and screaming to the Irish Heather, a pub down the street. I'd put up a good fight but Colin is a big guy and Raphael looks like some kind of Shao Lin monk, so I'll play it safe and go along. Then the next night is Kilts Night!)
