I like it. That should make a nice waistcoat.

Frank: I like the look of the cloth, too. What weight is it? Can't wait to see the end result.
John
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

No idea of weight John. All I can tell ya is it was cheap, so it is probably the weight of Kleenex. Time will tell, and I am in no rush, at least yet! Delivery is sometime the week of May 5.
I'll try and get a decent shot of the other stuff I bought soon. I could not find it on Joann's website, so will need to take my own picture.

Here's the link: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JQ479KA/..._M3T1_ST1_dp_1
All I know is that it said it is suiting wool, so I'm assuming it will be okay. For 16 bucks it was worth seeing. There is not much wool material selection around Albany NY!

Frank: What does "Shipping Weight: 0.3 ounces" mean? Did you buy about a yard and a half?

Material came yesterday, and boy oh boy, is it ever nice. Like most wool, better in person than in photos. When I get home tonight I will try and get a decent pic of it with my kilt jacket and share with the rabble. Off it goes Monday at 10 to my tailor!
While there is a label on the package, I cannot find anything that refernces weight. My suggestion is that it is lightweight suiting wool, appropriate for a 3 season garment.

Frank: Sounds like you got a great deal. Can't wait to see the finished product. Are you going to have any internal pockets sewn in, or just the usual two external pockets?

Gee John, good thinkin. I had not got that far, and will give it some thought over the weekend. I think just two external pockets would do me. Pics soon, though I may not have the finished vest in hand for a month. I'm not pushing. I have brown belts to make, and got my hands full with all sorts of projects.
I hope all is well with you! Cheers!
