We actually decided to head back to the Highland Stillhouse tomorrow for lunch before we head up to Seattle. The Haggis Balls were awesome!

Dan, the Fish N Chips man, the Fish N Chips! Better get a half order tho, otherwise you'll have to get a to-go container...... And in the Spirit of " no photo it didn't happen" you better post one standing in front of the stained glass front window of the Pub....example - same pub, St Patricks Day.....Hawk

Will take a photo there today, unfortunately it won't be kilted though. I wore a kilt yesterday (you will have to take my word) and only brought one on this trip. I did meet a regular there named Dave Schwartz, he will testify on my behalf. ith:

At the risk of finding this thread too late to organize meeting you (I was just in Seattle this morning--rail at fate), I would recommend in Seattle the Ballard Locks. Their associated gardens are well in bloom right now. The underground tour starting from Pioneer square is always well recommended (if you can stand multiple puns from the tour guides.) It is also right next door to the Utilikilts flagship store. I have poked in with a tartan kilt before so it proves one does not need to be wearing their product. It confuses the tourists more than the staff. And finally (if the fish and chip thing hasn't been run to death) I recommend Spud's on Alki (even over the other Spud's locations). Best wishes for a good time in the area.

Oh man, I was in Seattle & Portland over Christmas and had a wonderful time! It was a completely pants-free vacation.

Don’t miss the walking tour of the Seattle underground. As Elf just said, it’s practically next door to the Utilikilts store. Around the corner you can eat at Merchant’s, supposedly Seattle’s oldest restaurant, and then walk a block south to J&M Café, Seattle’s oldest bar. Really nice folks at both places.
