whats the deal with 28" & 30 " kilts

I don't know if you looked for a while but almost evry kilt I look at getting is 28" and 30" a few more at 32" even 34" max .
Now im not a young man despite my youthful looks but it seems like most kilts for sale are very small my 11 year old son is a 28" . Its very hard to fined the 36 to 38 sizes . Or an I the only one noticing this.
If I was a 30" round the belly button id be laughing with choice. But alas with good living and middle age I am not

I think the problem is that you are looking at military kilts, and those lads were young and slim for the most part.

Could be a 'time of year' thing. Most UK kilt hire places change their stock from end of August to end of October. After the wedding season and before St Andrew's Day / New Year's Eve / Burns Night celebrations.

It might be worth your while getting in touch with the bigger ones and ask for dates. You should also check eBay every week. My 38", hand-stiched, 16oz, Flower of Scotland was an eBay purchase for £34 - delivered.

There are bargains to be had, you just have to be patient.

I do what an Ex military Black watch that's a fact . But im not just looking at them I look on the bay every day just encase something new crops up and I look at lots of vintage kilts as I don't want new and bay far a good %80 or 30" or less at the moment every time I think that looks nice I click and bloody hell its a 28 30 or 32 . Im not in a rush I have my kilt now but id like a get a few . I don't want to were the same one every time I go out . I mean you wouldn't do that with shirt would you need some diversity.

Ill get what I want in the end just strange that most kilts on the bay are small that's all .
